The Wanted unveils Walks Like Rihanna

The Wanted have premiered summer smash in waiting Walks Like Rihanna. The Brit lads will release the new track on June 23rd.
Produced by hitmaker of the moment Dr Luke, it's insanely catchy chorus includes the lines " She cant sing /She cant dance /But who cares /She walks like Rihanna "

The song looks set to repeat the huge success of 2011 signature tune Glad You Came. Their 3rd album will follow later this year. The follow up to 2011's Battleground , it will also include the smash hit singles Chasing The Sun and I Found You.

The Wanted may have had to live in the shadows of JLS and One Direction , but the five piece are arguably an extremely more appealing and edgier pop proposition with a stronger canon of singles. Their rivalry with One Direction flared up again on Twitter recently with tom Parker trading verbal barbs with Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Whereas One Direction may have the most insane hardcore fanbase and global success, its all been calculated and without any trace of artistic merit.
If anything , The Wanted have produced far stronger material than One Directions saccharine tween bile. Add in the fact The Wanted have seemingly worked harder for their success.

Expect The wanted to land their 3rd UK Number 1 come July. Listen to Walks Like Rihanna

Pink announces Lily Allen duet as new single

Pink's spectacularly successful The Truth About Love era is et to roll on with another sure fire smash. Already sitting pretty at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 with Nate Ruess duet Just Give Me a Reason , Pink has announced the follow up.

True Love , featuring Lily Allen , will serve as the 4th single to be lifted from The Truth About Love. An obvious choice , the insanely catchy track is summery and perfect to wind down what's been a hugely successful era for Pink. In short , this album campaign has been flawless and has seen her go from strength to strength.

Certainly , do not be surprised of True Love replicates the success of her previous 3 singles.

Vince Kidd hits The Zoo

Vince Kidd was undoubtedly my favourite act on the first series of The Voice last year. Kidd has a voice like Prince , is dripping in swag , and a brash sexiness that was demonstrated brilliantly on last years Sick Love. Kidd is one to watch this year. A unique style all his own , he's a talent that has'nt been seen on the UK pop charts for a long time and deserves massive mainstream success. Sexy music with a hint of grit , glamma , personality and ballsiness that is intoxicating. In short , Vince Kidd is the real deal.

Now he's unveiled The Zoo , his new track from his forthcoming EP , featuring The Saturdays Vanessa White , a close friend of Vince.
The video and track like it's predecessor , the brilliant Sick Love is fresh , fierce , ferocious , sexy and has a great vocal cameo from Vanessa.
Safe to say I'm pretty excited for Vince's forthcoming EP , out on June 2nd. Buy it.

This Kidd is most certainly alright!!

Robyn's Fembot

Swedish pop legend Robyn gloriously sang of robots on tracks like Fembot and The Girl And The Robot. Now the synthpop star will have her very own doppelganger , in robot form.
Swedish university students have begun a project dedicated to constructing a robot based on Robyn. Their wacky aim is for Robyn to interact both digitally and physically with her robotic counterpart.

The project is fully endorsed by the Scandipop star herself as she has visited the students and robot in progress at KTH university.

Calvin smashes Jacko chart record

Calvin Harris has smashed a chart record held by Michael Jackson , by becoming the FIRST ever artist to score EIGHT UK Top 10 hits from the same album. His current album 18 Months , has spawned the eight songs that have produced the stunning feat.
His latest collaboration with Ellie Goulding I Need Your Love , entered the Top 10 at Number 7 yesterday to break Michael Jackson's longstanding record.

The King of Pop , had previously scored an impressive seven Top 10 hits from his 1987 classic Bad. The Scottish DJ and producer begun his run of eight top 10;s back in June 2011 with Kelis assisted Bounce hitting Number 2. This was followed up by the massive transatlantic smash Feels So Close , also hitting Number 2. Then came the globe conquering We Found Love with Bajan superstar Rihanna.

Last year saw the hits keep clocking up. Let's Go with R&B king Ne-Yo and his collaboration with fellow Brit Example on We'll Be Coming Back both hit Number 2.

The subliime Sweet Nothing with Florence Welch hit Number 1 , before Tinie Tempah hook up Drinking From The Bottle hit Number 5 in January.

It's a monumental achievement for the Dumfries hitmaker. 18 Months seems to serve more now as calvin Harris Greatest Hits album.
Harris' first Top10 came in 2007 with the brilliant Acceptable In The 80's. Since then , Calvin has chalked up  4 UK Number 1's and an astonishing 13 Top 10 hits.

Daft Punk up all night to Get Lucky

Daft Punk has set the music world abuzz with the their new single Get Lucky featuring Pharrell Williams and the legendary Nile Rodgers.
Get Lucky looks certain to top the charts and the French electronic duo have been quick to get the much sought after track released to the public.

Ahead of the release of fourth album Random Access Memories , Daft Punk will officially release Get Lucky tomorrow April 19th at 5.01am UK time.
As it stands , Rudimental's fantastic Waiting All Night is cruising to the top spot this weekend. But I'd wager Daft Punk are set for their very first Number 1 single after almost 15 years.

That feat may not come this weekend , but it's inevitable that the infectious and funky Get Lucky will top charts worldwide. The track has received rave reviews since it debuted this week and will surely soundtrack the summer ahead.

Pink is currently wowing audiences on the European leg of her spectacular The Truth About Love tour. Just Give Me A Reason has proved to be Pink's biggest hit in over 4 years since its release.
