Scottish pop veterans Texas have announced details of their forthcoming new album entitled The Conversation.
It is Sharleen Spiteri and company;s first album in 8 years , the follow up to 2005's Red Book. In the intervening years Spiteri has gone on to release two solo albums with mixed success.
The Conversation is set for release on May 20th. The tirle track will serve as the set's lead single a week earlier on May 13th.
This year marks Texas' 25th anniversary. Their first hit , I Dont Want A Lover , reached Number 8 in 1989. Since then , they've sold over 30 million albums worldwide , and sold out countless tours,

Canadian pop princess Carly Rae Jepsen wont be inviting the Boy Scouts of America to call her maybe , anytime soon. The singer has refused to perform at the Boy Scouts of America Jamboree in the summer owing to their homophobic stance on gay scouts and leaders.
It's a welcome move from the young singer , who's foregone any exposure in place of her own principles.
