JoJo's got Mad Love

JoJo has unveiled the title track to her long awaited third album. Mad Love is a gloriously rousing Motown tinged ballad. Showcasing the stars soaring vocals , the JoJo comeback train has struck gold yet again.
Following on from the defiant and brassy Fuck Apologies ,  her first studio album in 10 years look set to be worth the wait.

The song is like a cross between Sam Cooke's classic A Change Is Gonna Come spliced with Rihanna's Love On The Brain. Its the perfect track for the loomi g winter nights and is an absolute belter.

"In the beginning of the year, when I started on this album, I got into the studio while at the end of this relationship that I wasn’t really able to let go of, and "Mad Love" is a product of talking about that. Sometimes the emotions are so strong that you stay in it because it’s so exhilarating."

After a decade of legal wrangles , JoJo will release her third album Mad Love on October 14th. Listen to the track below

Big difference for Sean Smith on steamy solo stomper

Its been almost a decade since the endearingly cheesy pop antics of sibling duo Same Difference lit up The X Factor in 2007. Despite coming third , Sean and Sarah Smith amassed a huge following from the show resulting in two hit albums , the Gold selling POP! , which spawned the forgotten pop classic We R One.

Fast forward to 2016 and Sean is rockng a remarkably different look and sound as he gears up for the release of the aptly named debut solo single Turn Me On.
Sean looks sculpted and lean in promo shots , revealing a mouthwatering , rippling six pack that will please his legion of female and gay fans.
Having treaded the boards with most recently , That's Entertainment , the Portsmouth pin up is keeping in shape to keep up with the punishing schedule of theatre life.

Sean has signed to Energise Records to unleash the frenetic , high octane pop of Turn Me On. A big departure from the bubblegum pop Same Difference excelled at. Turn Me On is pulsing , vibrant , insanely catchy slice of Balearic tinged pop.  A chorus that will stay in your head for weeks , its dancefloor ready and  as polished and pulsating as Years and Years , Jason Derulo or for that matter Justin Bieber.

Its a big pop single that warrants a big pop platform. and hopefully , when the track is released on September 23rd , it will garner the success it richly deserves for the gorgeous singer. Its a sound that's club friendly and oozing sex appeal/ Like the man himself.

Sean has already shot what he promises will be a hot video for the single. One that is sure to showcase the smouldering looks that have melted hearts since his X Factor audition 9 years ago. As well as a fun and frivolous side to go with the party vibe of the track. This new side of Sean Smith is sure to win over new fans and enhance his already loyal fanbase.

If all of this wasn't enough , Smith is hard at work on his debut solo album. He commented "/I want o produce high energy pop records but I can now bring a more edgy & mature sound and look along with it.  I feel so lucky to get another chance at it and I'll be relishing every moment and enjoying the journey"

If Turn Me on is any indication , it should be  an exhilarating journey. And the success it should so richly warrant , couldn't be more bestowing of a nicer guy.

Turn Me On is now available to pre-order physically. Available as a 6 track CD and 2 track DVD video single.  The CD features the Original Mix , Andy Sikorski Edit , Sub City Remix by Paul Varney , an Extended Original and the Andy Sikorski Club Mix as well as the original instrumental.
The DVD features the video and the Andy Sikorski Edit Video.

Head on over to www.energiserecords.com where registered Energise members get a special priced 2 disc set with the CD & DVD. Due to the already huge demand , more signed packages have been made available.

Turn Me On is released physically , digitally and via streaming on September 23rd with the digital remix package a week later on September 30th.

Don't forget to follow Sean on Twitter @SeanSmithSolo  on Facebook facebook.com/SeanSmithSolo and Instagram @SeanSmithSolo

With autumn nights looming , Turn Me On , is the perfect pop antidote to blow off those cobwebs and  live and love it up on the dancefloor. Turned on ? You will be...

Gaga premieres Perfect Illusion

Lady Gaga has strutted back onto the pp landscape with the rousing Perfect Illusion. The track has been met with a glowing response from her legion of fans. The lead single from her upcoming fifth album has , as expected , topped the iTunes charts in over 60 countries.

The track itself is not as instant as some of her more famous lead singles. Whereas some of her past tracks could have done with some editing , Perfect Illusion is solid , disco rock stomper with a chorus that becomes more deeply engrained with very listen. It's punchy with a remarkably strong vocal from Gaga. With shades both sonically and lyrically of her past work rooted within the track , it shows a definite evolution from ARTPOP. And hints  at a rockier direction. The track was co -produced by Tame Impala's Kevin Parker , and his influence is a welcome one.

Gaga was quickly on the promotional trail in London today , appearing on BBC Radio 1 , Heart FM  and Capital FM. She revealed that her as yet untitled fifth album WILL be released later this year. We would anticipate an early to mid November release , three years after ARTPOP. And the list of collaborators for album five is mouth watering ad far different than expected.

Gaga has revealed she has recorded a duet with Florence Welch , which could be  musical match ade in heaven.
Other collaborators include Father Misty John , Beck and Queens Of The Stone Ages Josh Homme. It promises to be an intriguing listen. One thing you never get with a Gaga record is a dull moment.

Gaga teases Perfect Illusion

Lady Gaga will finally unveil her long awaited new single Perfect Illusion this Friday. The track  was produced byGaga alongside Mark Ronson , Tame Impala lead singer Kevin Parker and BloodPop. It is Mother Monster's first new material in over three years.

Gaga will be hoping it receives a better reception than the lukewarm response to 2013's Applause. That track was seen as a commercial and artistic disappointment. And for all the genuine high's the much maligned ARTPOP album had. The campaign itself was killed within weeks of its release with the non video for Do What U Want.

But these seem positively more exciting times for Gaga. There's been very little in the way of self hype which has accompanied her last two albums. Gaga has also enjoyed a mini renaissance with her award winning turn in American Horror Story and an Oscar nomination and critically lauded performance at the ceremony itself.
Elsewhere , collaborators such as Elton John , Mark Ronson and Niles Rodgers have heaped gushing praise upon the singers forthcoming fifth studio album. So all in all , everything bodes well for this latest stage of Gaga's career.

At the iHeartRadio Music Summit last month Mother Monster described the inspirations of the song this way: ""The song is about modern ecstasy... We found our sweet, simple, ragey way of saying it... I get this sick adrenaline rush every time I hear it."
Gaga took to Twitter to share lyrics from the new single  "I don't need eyes to see/ I felt you touchin' me/ High like amphetamine/ Maybe you're just a dream."

Perfect Illusion is out this Friday and no doubt will top iTunes tallies around the world within hours of its eagerly anticipated release.
