The track itself is not as instant as some of her more famous lead singles. Whereas some of her past tracks could have done with some editing , Perfect Illusion is solid , disco rock stomper with a chorus that becomes more deeply engrained with very listen. It's punchy with a remarkably strong vocal from Gaga. With shades both sonically and lyrically of her past work rooted within the track , it shows a definite evolution from ARTPOP. And hints at a rockier direction. The track was co -produced by Tame Impala's Kevin Parker , and his influence is a welcome one.
Gaga was quickly on the promotional trail in London today , appearing on BBC Radio 1 , Heart FM and Capital FM. She revealed that her as yet untitled fifth album WILL be released later this year. We would anticipate an early to mid November release , three years after ARTPOP. And the list of collaborators for album five is mouth watering ad far different than expected.
Gaga has revealed she has recorded a duet with Florence Welch , which could be musical match ade in heaven.
Other collaborators include Father Misty John , Beck and Queens Of The Stone Ages Josh Homme. It promises to be an intriguing listen. One thing you never get with a Gaga record is a dull moment.
