Rolling Stones to headline Glastonbury 2013
The Rolling stones have been confirmed as one of the headliners of this years Glastonbury. The rock legends will take to the Pyramid Stage on Worthy Farm on Saturday June 29th. It is the first time the Stones have ever played the legendary festival. It also fuels more speculation that Glasto will be the bands swansong.
Arctic Monkeys will headline the Friday night on June 27th with Mumford & Sons closing the festival on Sunday June 29th. The line up was announced this evening via Glastonburys official Twitter page.
The diverse line up spreads across the Pyramid Stage , John Peel Stage ,Other Stage , West Holts Stage and The Park Stage to name but a few.
Other acts confirmed for Glastonbury 2013 are Jake Bugg , Rita Ora , Bastille , Elvis Costello , Nick Cave , Primal Scream , Dizzee Rascal , Ben Howard , Vampire Weelend . Hurts , Disclosure , Jessie Ware , Kenny Rogers , Foals , The XX , Example , Portishead , Chase And Status ,NAS , Smashing Pumpkins , The Lumineers , Public Enemy , The Weekend , Editors , Azealia Banks , Professor Green , Alt-J , Two Door Cinema Club , Solange , Of Monsters And Men ,Crystal Castles , Rufus Wainwright.
Tickets sold out upon going on sale last October. The full line up poster is featured below
