Ed Sheeran , Sam Smith and Taylor Swift are the first confirmed performers for next February's BRIT Awards ceremony. The three have enjoyed record breaking years and are bound to be in contention for the Tracey Emin designed statues come Spring.
Sam Smith was crowned BRITS Critics Choice winner at this years ceremony and is certain to rack up a few nominations.
Sheeran is a past winner having scooped Best British Male and Best British Breakthrough in 2012. It's almost 20 years since Blur won the most BRITS in one night , when their classic Parklife album saw them scoop 4 gongs.
Expect Sheeran to equal this record in February. He's a shoo in for Best British Male and Best British Album. Other than that , a win for Best British Single is also possible for either Sing or Thinking Out Loud. Plus if theres categories for Global Success and Best Live , expect Sheeran to be right in contention.
Swift , meanwhile seems likely to collect her first BRIT for Best International Female after two previous nominations and a memorable performance in 2013.
Ant n Dec host the 2015 BRIT Awards on February 26th , 2015.
