MTV VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS 2015 - Taylor's hat trick , Bieber's comeback and Nicki & Miley trade shade

Taylor Swift was the belle of the annual popculture ball that is the MTV Video Music Awards 2015 last night.
Accompanied by her squad and co-stars from the heavily nominated Bad Blood video , the 25year old added another 3 moonmen to her mantelpiece including the coveted Video of The Year. She also won Best Female Video for the third time in her career , thanks to Blank Space.

The singer would later re-appear on stage to present Kanye West with the prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. She made reference to West's infamous stage invasion back in 2009 when Swift won her first VMA.

But it was host Miley Cyrus who nabbed the headlines again , two years after her shocking performance with Robin Thicke.
As Nicki Minaj accepted Best Hip Hop Video for Anaconda , the rapper barked at Cyrus - "Now back to this bitch that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press -Miley whats good "

Cyrus had been interviewed ahead of the ceremony and had condemned Minaj's sour graes about Anaconda being snubbed for a Video Of The Year nomination.
In typically cheeky fashion , Cyrus responded by saying that press interviews can be manipulated ,but not before taking a side swipe at Minaj when commenting on an upcoming award which Cyrus missed out on previously.

" I didn't complain about not winning and persevered until I did "

The star studded bash at the Microsoft Theatre in LA saw performances from Justin Bieber , who performed current worldwide smash What Do Yu Mean for the very first time and seemed overcome by the positive reception he recived.
Other performances came from Nicki Minaj , The Weeknd , Macklemore & Ryan Lewis , Demi Lovato , A$AP Rocky and Miley Cyrus who closed the show surrounded by alumni of cult show RuPaul's Drag Race and announcing the release of a free album entitled Miley Cyrus & Dem Petz

New album for Pink ?

It's been nearly three years since Pink last conquered the charts with Grsmmy nominated album The Truth About Love. The album produced one of her biggest hits to date in Nate Ruess duet Just Give Me A Reason.

The pop icon has been relatively quiet since , emerging last autumn as part of new side project You+Me , releasing the beautiful folk of album Rose Ave.

Now it appears that Pink's seventh studio album since bursting onto the scene in 2000 may be imminent.
The singer has registered two new songs , Exit Strategy and Stage Diver. As yet , no further details have emerged about the album.
Pink's longest gap between albums was 4 years from 2008's Funhouse to 2012's The Truth About Love.

If her new record doesn't surface in the last quarter of this year , it would be safe to bet that Pink should make her welcome return come Spring 2016.

The star has released six platinum selling albums since 2000 , Cant Take Me Home (2000) , Misundaztood (2001)  , Try This (2003 ) , I'm Not Dead (2006 ) , Funhouse (2008 ) and The Truth About Love (2012)

The star is one of the biggest grossing live acts in the world and has won a string of Grammy Awards. She's clocked up a classic canon of hits such as Get The Party Started , Who Knew , So What , Raise Your Glass , Just  Like A Pill and Trouble.

That album spawned the huge hits Thrift Shop and LGBT equality anthem Same Love.

“There is nothing like the joy and happiness that comes from bringing a baby into this universe,” said the new dad. “She has filled my heart in ways that I never knew were possible. She is the love of my life. This song is for her.”
In an open letter, Macklemore also spoke at length about fatherhood and why he chose to return with this song. “It’s where I’ve been the last year, through all the ups and downs,” he wrote. “We didn’t want to do a big campaign or anything over the top with this. We just wanted to put out good music, directly to the people that have been here since the beginning

Taylor Swift to release Wildest Dreams

Taylor Swift will release the gorgeous and haunting ballad Wildest Dreams as her next single. The singer took to her Twitter account to confirm the news after much fan speculation. Wildest Dreams has long been a fan favourite and will be the fifth single taken from the record breaking 1989.

The haunting ballad showcases a more vulnerable side to Swift after the pure pop of previous singles like Shake It Off and Style.

It's her first all out ballad release since The Hunger Games soundtrack cut Safe And Sound in 2012. The soaring song ranks as one of Swift's greatest ballads alongside fan favourite classics such as Enchanted , All Too Well , Breathe , Dear John and Sad Beautiful Tragic.

No details have emerged yet about a video or official impact date for Wildest Dreams. Expect the video to be  a suitably lavish and emotional affair. With everything crossed that New Romantics might just get a single release too.
