The track has been met with a wave of critical acclaim and mass fan adoration. It's already topped 45 iTunes charts across the globe , upon its release today.

Musically, it doesn't veer much from the sound that's sold a phenomenal 30 million albums. An emotional , soaring track , with trademark flawless vocals and ominous piano intro. Lyrically , it sees Adele reaching out to an old flame , to apologise,

The video is a stunning affair where Adele visits the one time lovenest she shared with her ex , and cuts to happier flashbacks amidst Adele belting the surging chorus in a forest , in front of  a leaf strewn red phone box.

Meanwhile , the full writing credits have emerged for 25. Bruno Mars , Greg Kurstin , Max Martin and Shellback are amongst the songwriting elite that have contributed to the record. However , Sia , Pharrell Williams and Damon Albarn have not made the cut.

Adele finally confirms 25 album

Adele has finally confirmed that her forthcoming new album will indeed be entitled 25 and its long awaited release is imminent. In an emotional open letter , the singer spoke about the new record , describing it as a 'make up record '

"When I was 7 I wanted to be 8. When I was 8 I wanted to be 12. When I turned 12 I just wanted to be 18. Then after that I stopped wanting to be older. Now I’m ticking 16-24 boxes just to see if I can blag it! I feel like I’ve spent my whole life so far wishing it away. Always wishing I was older, wishing I was somewhere else, wishing I could remember and wishing I could forget too. Wishing I hadn’t ruined so many good things because I was scared or bored. Wishing I wasn’t so matter of fact all the time. Wishing I’d gotten to know my great grandmother more, and wishing I didn’t know myself so well, because it means I always know what’s going to happen in the end. Wishing I hadn’t cut my hair off, wishing I was 5’7”. Wishing I’d waited and wishing I’d hurried up as well.
My last record was a break up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record. I’m making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did. But I haven’t got time to hold on to the crumbs of my past like I used to. What’s done is done. Turning 25 was a turning point for me, slap bang in the middle of my 20s. Teetering on the edge of being an old adolescent and a fully fledged adult, I made the decision to go into becoming who I’m going to be forever without a removal van full of my old junk. I miss everything about my past, the good and the bad, but only because it won’t come back. When I was in it I wanted out! So typical. I’m on about being a teenager, sitting around and chatting shit, not caring about the future because it didn’t matter then like it does now. The ability to be flippant about everything and there be no consequences. Even following and breaking rules ... is better than making the rules. 25 is about getting to know who I’ve become without realising. And I’m sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened. "

Love Adele

The singer sent fans crazy with an 18 second snippet of a new song , that played during an ad break on Sunday nights X Factor.

Her brand new single , which will trail 25 , will receive its worldwide premiere on BBC Radio 1 on Friday October 30th.

As yet no release date or track listing for 25 has been announced , with it long believed to be released on November 20th.

Ranking Adele's 10 greatest songs as comeback draws near

It took one  , very simple , 30 second song snippet , showing only lyrics , and appearing during the ad break of The X Factor.
Adele has  fuelled further excitement ahead of the relase of her third album said to be in November. The snippet was her first new material in over 3 years.

“Hello, it’s me / I was wondering if after all these years / you’d like to meet to go over everything / they say that time’s supposed to heal ya / but I ain’t done much healing ...”.

It'll be no easy feat following 21 , the biggest selling album of the millennium. But if the new album is scheduled for November 20th , expect it to become the fastest selling album of the year and break first week sales records in the UK and US.
Its been over four years since 21 stormed charts worldwide and made Adele an international icon. The album of heartbreak and torch songs spawned instant classics like Rolling In The Deep nnd Someone like You.

Now ahead of the long awaited third album , heavily tipped , to be called 25 , The Playlist counts down  Adele's 10 greatest songs.

10. Skyfall

The 2011 Bond theme nabbed Adele and long time cohort Paul Epworth an Oscar in 2012 for best Original Song.
One of the greatest Bond themes ever recorded , its soaring orchestral sweeps , also nabbed it a Brit Award

9.  Take It All

One of many stand out cuts from 21 , this is as gorgeous and heartrending as Adele gets

8.  Rumour Has It

The brassy stomper was a kiss off to rumours of a romance fro the singer. One of only three upbeat songs on 21 , it remains as classy and catchy as ever

7. Turning Tables

Produced by OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder , this is one of the clear stand outs from 21. Fragile lyrics mask a defiant chorus.

6. Chasing Pavements

Adele's breakthrough single is a soaring anthem that trailed debut album 19 in 2008. It instantly showed that Adele was one to watch.

5. Set Fire To The Rain

This barnstorming track from 21 , was a huge smash in the US , completing an unprecedented hat rick of Number 1 singles.

4. Make You Feel My Love

This Bob Dylan cover has become an X Factor staple. Its chart reappearance ein the winter of 2010 was the perfect springboard to the 21 album campaign.
One of her most recognisable songs , Adele's tender take on Dylan;s track , remains one of the centuries great ballads

3.  Someone Like You

When it comes to Adele this is THE song. The ultimate heartbreak song became an instant classic with Adele's now iconic BRIT Awards performance from 2011. It sent the song straight to the top of the UK charts and later the US Hot 100. Her signature song , despite is ubiquity , remains a moving and momentous classic

"Sometimes it last in love , but sometimes it hurts instead '

2.  Hometown Glory

Adele's debut single and the one that set taste makers abuzz.  This spine tingling tribute to London has been used in TV shows from Skins to Greys Anatomy. That haunting piano intro , the vocals , the sheer goosebump inducing scale of this track. Its my personal favourite from the Tottenham singer and still reduces me to a sobbing wreck,

1. Rolling In The Deep

A modern classic that kicked off the phenomenon that was 21. Described by the singer as a dark , blue-sy , gospel disco. Mammoth sized thumping piano and a sweeping chorus make it a pop classic

Drake premieres Hotline Bling video

Drake bobs , shimmys and shuffles his way through the glorious new video for current smash Hotline Bling.
The Canadian rapper dances to candy colours against a stark background in a video which has already inspired countless vines and memes all over social media.

Needless to say Miguel looks as sexy and smouldering as ever in the video. He is currently wowing audiences on his Wildheart Tour.

Rihanna reveals new album title

Rihanna has finally revealed the title for her long awaited eighth album. At a gallery in Los Angeles last night , Rihanna unveiled the album's artwork and its title Anti.
The cover  was designed by Israeli artist Roy Nechum.

The cover features an image of a young Rihanna holding a black balloon, with a gold crown covering her eyes. Over the red-and-white canvas cover, a poem written by Chloe Mitchell is written in Braille. The Braille and sight-obscuring crown follows the theme of all the album art so far, which Nachum is making as a statement on vision and vision impairment. As Rihanna said after its unveiling, "Sometimes the ones who have sight are the blindest

As yet there is still no official release date for the album , or an official track listing. This is the longest gap between albums for Rihanna. Her last album Unapologetic was released in 2012. The Bajan star has released seven of her albums continuously from year to year from 2005's Music Of The Sun through to 2012's Unapologetic.

The star has released three singles this year to a mixed response. FourFiveSeconds with Kanye West and Paul McCartney was a worldwide smash. However American Oxygen and Bitch Better Have My Money both stalled.
Its unclear whether any of the three singles will be included on Anti
