U2 have announced an indoor tour for next year, The iNNOCENCE+eXPERIENCE tour will be in support of recent album Songs Of Innocence , the much maligned surprise album which was downloaded onto iTunes libraries without any warning in September. The album was this week named American music bible Rolling Stone's best album of 2014.
No Irish dates have been announced for Dublin yet , but the UK tour will include a succession of nights at Londons 02 Arena and Glasgow's SES Hydro Arena on multiple dates.
The band are set to release another new album in 2015 entitled Songs of Experience , which forms the companion to the this years surprise collection.
The new tour will be a huge departure from U2's last live tours which have seen the Irish rock titans sell out stadiums worldwide. In fact , this will be U2's first arena tour in well over a decade.
Expect a hometown residency for Dublin's 3Arena , to be confirmed within the week.
Tickets for the UK tour go on sale this Monday December 8th
