SOMETHING FOR THE WEEKEND -10 Essential Songs for Your Weekend

The weekend has landed!! Forget the snow , the sleet , the rain , the general mouldiness of January. Heres 10 essential tracks for this weekend

1. Neon Trees -Everybody Talks
A huge hit in the States last year , I've been tipping this for greatness for a while. Not out until the end of February , this could be the sound of Spring 2013.  A hit of Goteye/Fun. sized proportions

2. Justin Toimberlake feat Jay Z -Suit And Tie

So sexy's back. And in some style.  It's been almost seven years since FutureSex/LoveSounds , so we were not sure what to expect. But we've gotten a slinky , R&B groover that's blowing up worldwide on iTunes. Move over Bieber and Bruno Mars , JT is back for the throne.

3. Calvin Harris feat Ellie Goulding -I Need Your Love

Calvin made chart history this week by notching up his seventh consecutive UK Top 10 from the same album. And what price him claiming an 8th. He's already hinted that this collaboration with Ellie Goulding will eventually be released, Goulding's twee  , ethereal vocals over Harris' clubby beats make it a stand out from his 18 Months album

4. Hurts -Miracle

The Macu duo announced the tracklisting for their hotly anticipated sophomore album Exile this week, This trailer single should give them their first Top 10 in the UK. Coldplay meets Muse over brooding , anthemic beats make for a fantastic taster for the new opus.

5. Heathers -Waiter

The Irish duo wre recently nominated for the Choice Music Prize. This track , is cureently used on the RTe's promo ads for restaurant drama Raw. The chant like refrain gets lodged after one listen

6. Lawson -Learn To Love Again

Fourth single from Andy and the lads. Far more poppy then previous singles. expect another Top 10 for the boys

7. Disclosure feat Sam Smith -Latch

Tbis ones been hanging around since about October and still seduces with every listen. The psot Christmas chart slump has seen it rise again. Big year in store for this duo and guest vocalist Sam Smith

8.  ASAP Rocky feat Skrillex - Wild For The Night

2013 in hip hop begins and ends with this man

9. Bastille -Pompeii

Cant get enough of this track from one of the hotly tipped acts of the year.

10. Christina Aguilera -Army Of Me

Xtina's carrer may be in freefall with the unmitigated flop that is Lotus. Love or hate her , this is a pop injustice. This anthemic , two fingers in the air sassfest desrves to be huge and at least ressurect her flailing career
