Despite the relentless rain , summer is truly upon us. And with hopes of long hot summery days and warm nights to come , theres a soundtrack to go with it.
Summer is a season that traditionally produces some of the biggest hits of the year and 2015 should be no exception.
Expect Taylor Swift to continue her world dominance. Jason Derulo to cement his place as prince of R&B.
The theres the welcome returns of Rudimental and Leona Lewis as wella s newcomers like Lunchmoney Lwis and Natalie La Rose.

Here The Playlist compiles 20 sure fire hits to come this summer. Whether nursing sunburn or drenched to the skin on a windy beach , these 20 tracks should be as inescapable as hayfever and wrong weather forecasts.


1. Lunchmoney Lewis -Bills
The Florida born rapper has hit chart paydirt with the catchy Bills already smashing it Down Under hitting Number 1 in Australia. The rapper who has appeared on Nicki Minaj's Truffle Butter , should crack thiss ide of the world with his ode to paying bills. The Swedish electro house duo of Bloodshy and Style of Eye have a ready made smash on their hands with the sure to be ubiquitous Runaway (You And I ) Co written by Cathy Dennis (Cant Get You Out Of Head ) , this track is already a hit around Europe and looks set to make a huge chart impact

The 26 year old Dutch R&B siren has already made a splash stateside with the sleek Somebody. The track has peaked at Number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and looks set to replicate its Stateside success this summer. Another current Stateside smash , this 80's inspired romp is currently trailing only Wiz Khalifa on US iTunes. The rock band from Ohio have the biggest hit of their career with the song peaking at Number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100.

5. Nate Ruess - Nothing Without Love
 
Otherwise known as the lead singer of We Are Young hitmakers Fun. With the band on a short hiatus after the mammoth success of 2012's Some Nights album , Ruess is branching out with a solo career. He's already had quite the headstart sharing vocals with Pink on 2013's huge Just Give Me A Reason and on Eminem's stunning Headlights.
This lead single from solo album Grand Romantic doesn't stray too much from Fun and is a rousing rock/pop anthem in waiting.
 
 
 
6. Jason Derulo - Want To Want Me
 
Its been six years since Derulo burst onto the scene with Whatcha Say.In those six years , he and his impressive six pack have conquered the market in infectious R&B/pop. He's notched up an impressive string of hits such as Don't WannaGo Home , The Other Side and Talk Dirty.

The British electronic trio scored a Number 1 single in 2011 with Promises. Debut album Welcome To Reality followed suit topping the album charts. Forthcoming album Between Two Worlds is trailed by the exhilarating The Thrill.

The X Factor winner parted ways with Simon Cowell and Syco last year to pursue her own creative direction under Island Records. And insiders are salivating at the snippets teased from her forthcoming 4th studio album. Lewis could crown a remarkable comeback with the thumping Fire (Underneath My Feet ) set to premiere later this month.
 
 
 
14. Robin Schulz feat Jasmine Thompson - Sun Goes Down
The German electronic DJ has already scored two huge Number 1's last year. His remix of Mr Probz's Waves and Lily Wood And The Prick's Prayer In C both scaled the top of the chart/
